Swap & Borrow Rules
Effective date: October 5, 2026
1. Who may use the marketplace
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into the proposed transaction. Use your own account, provide accurate information, and communicate respectfully. Do not share passwords, verification codes, or sensitive identity documents with another user.
2. Items and listings
- List only items you own or are expressly authorized to offer. You are responsible for proving your right to transfer, swap, or lend an item.
- Describe the item honestly, including its condition, defects, accessories, restrictions, and any relevant safety or use instructions. Use current photos that represent the actual item.
- Do not list stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unsafe, illegal, or restricted goods, or goods whose transfer or use requires a licence or permission you do not have.
- Weapons, ammunition, controlled drugs, hazardous substances, and goods or services prohibited by law or Platform rules may not be listed.
- Do not use a listing to mislead, advertise unrelated services, collect advance payments deceptively, or evade applicable laws or taxes.
SOL may reject, hide, edit for clarity, or remove a listing and may restrict an account where a listing appears unlawful, unsafe, deceptive, or inconsistent with these Rules. Review is not a certification or guarantee.
3. Swap transactions
Before exchanging items, both users should agree in writing through the Platform to each item's identity, condition, included parts, agreed value (if relevant), handover time and place, and whether either user will pay an additional amount. Do not assume that a listing or message alone confirms a completed deal.
Each user must inspect the item before accepting it, confirm that the other user has authority to transfer it, and decide whether to proceed. Unless the users expressly agree otherwise in writing, each user bears responsibility for the item they accept and for resolving any later complaint directly with the other user.
4. Borrowing transactions
Before an item is handed over, the owner and borrower must agree in writing to all material terms, including:
- The item, its existing condition, included accessories, and permitted use.
- The collection and return time, date, and place, including how an extension must be approved.
- Any fee, currency, payment recipient, payment timing, and any deposit. State clearly whether a deposit is refundable and when it will be returned.
- Responsibility for ordinary wear, cleaning, consumables, damage, loss, theft, late return, and cancellation.
Record the item's condition with dated photos at handover and return. The borrower must use reasonable care, follow safety instructions, not transfer the item to another person or use it unlawfully, and return it on time in the agreed condition, allowing only ordinary wear expressly accepted by the owner. The owner must disclose known defects and provide any material safety instructions.
Do not impose or collect an undisclosed fee, deposit, late charge, or damage charge. Any such amount must be lawful, clearly agreed in advance, and supported by evidence.
